Mike is the President of Refined Renovations / Greenbilt Homes.

Mike is an award-winning master carpenter and architectural technologist whose passion is residential construction. With an extensive background dealing with structural issues including ICF, steel structures, and concrete forming, no job is too large or too complicated.

Mike graduated from a three-year diploma course in Architectural Technology from Algonquin College in Ottawa in 1979. Shortly after, he moved to Calgary where he worked for three years in condominium development, reaching the level of Site Superintendent. Eventually, he moved to a division of the commercial construction giant PCL as a Site Foreman. In 1983, he began to do renovations on single-family residences in addition to his commercial work.

In 1986, he relocated to Toronto, received his carpenter’s licence, and rejoined PCL working on very large commercial developments including Scotia Plaza and Waterfront Place.

In 1991 he decided to focus on finish carpentry and Greenbilt Homes’ predecessor company, Suntech Renovations. Over time, the size and scale of Suntech’s projects increased. In 2007, Mike began building custom homes in addition to his renovation work, and he is a Tarion-certified builder offering the Ontario New Home Warrenty.

In 2009 Mike won an Interior Design Show Gold award, and in 2011 he won Best Green Custom Home in Ontario for his own home in Southwest Oakville. In addition he has been recognized for Healthy Home technology by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) and has been the subject of a variety of news and magazine articles.


Catherine Manning – Client Services and Marketing


Catherine is responsible for supporting Mike in client communication and also our marketing material. Catherine strives to ensure that clients feel they understand our services and that there is excellent communication of needs and desires to our operations team. She also wants to help you in any way possible to make your project go smoothly and quickly. She is at your service!

Catherine has a undergraduate degree from Queen’s University and a graduate degree from Simon Fraser University. She has 18 years of experience in the construction and development industry and is passionate about building





Shirley Mlynek Office Manager

Refined Renovations / Greenbilt Homes

She has an extensive background in project management, engineering and construction. Shirley enjoys working with Suntech clients to help them to get answers to their billing and project management questions.

Shirley is responsible for the smooth operation of the office, including the computer network and the project management system which does estimating, contract management, procurement, change order management and accounting.Shirley is a proven leader in administration and management and is focused on continual process improvement.

Joël Campbell

Joël Campbell is Refined Renovations General Carpentry Foreman. Joël has always had a passion for carpentry and building. He attended Lakehead University where he earned an Honours Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography.

Joël has worked with the most reputable home builder in North Bay. From here he began his General Carpentry Apprenticeship, doing his 1st level of schooling at Algonquin College and his 2nd /3rd levels at George Brown College.

Joël had the amazing opportunity as Shop Teacher for the General Carpentry Apprenticeship Program at Canadore College. Joël was able to hone his finish carpentry skills and learn a great deal about leading a group of individuals towards a common goal.

Joël’s current position with Greenbilt Homes / Refined Renovations is the culmination of all of his experiences. His involvement in the ‘green’ field coupled with his mastery in carpentry has made him the perfect candidate to play a leading role in the various construction projects taken on by these leading edge companies.
